10 Top Antivirus Software of 2010 - Part-2

It is now more than one month from my last post 10 Top Antivirus Software and now I am going to write Sequel of that article after a long time because I have already said that I am not writing these review after reading their features and specifications on other sites, I have tested all the anti-viruses on my personal computer and thats why it has taken a long time.

So before we start I would also like to tell you about my PC specifications because most of the softwares work differently on different PCs.

Best in this Anti Virus: McAfee is one of the biggest names in security softwares, Strong signature-based malware detection

Worst in it: Detects fake viruses, Support is bad.

Best in this Anti Virus: Excellent virus detection and Cheap

Worst in it: Slow performance in Vista (I also have tested it on vista only).

BitDefender have the one of the most popular antivirus software in the Web World, It excellently did the job of detecting malware, with a 96 percent catch rate. You can completely rely on this version of BitDefender for your computer security. And with all this it has very low renewal fees ad $30, & $22 it's one of the least-expensive programs I tested.

But

The Biggest problem I faced while using this AntiVirus is 'Slow Computer'. If you are using Windows Vista then I will suggest to not use it you have less memory because it can slow up your computer around 60% as It need huge memory and RAM.

Best in this Anti Virus: AVG Smart Scanning works while you’re away and runs in low-priority mode when you return

Worst in it: Some times slows down computer to the point where it's unresponsive.

AVG is the well-known protection tool. Because AVG also provides free Security to home users for the life of the product! But free one can't work as the Paid ones, So I have tested with the paid Anti Virus.

Best in this Anti Virus: No Change in computer speed after Installing this antivirus, VG detection rate and Fast scan speed.

Worst in it: Currently having problems in detecting new malware.

Avast also offers a totally free antivirus for life as AVG and with the BEST computer and scan speed.

Overall, The New version of Avast Pro Antivirus is a great choice for a average user , and certainly one of the best antivirus software available. The software is not only one of the most effective, but also one of the most efficient. I liked the redesigned interface and the new features. And I will definitely recommend Avast Pro Antivirus.
