How My Alexa Rank Decreased 1 Million in 1 Day ?

This week has been a great for me Just 3 days back I got a great gift from Google and Now from Alexa,
Yesterday (30 June 2011) my Alexa ranking was around 2 million and today (1July 2011) it is 1 million only, that is great news for me at least.

The Alexa Traffic Rank will show how popular the site is compared to yours, including Reach, Pageviews and more.

How Alexa Rank is Calculated ?

• Alexa toolbar collects data on browsing behavior which is transmitted to the website where it is stored and analyzed and is the basis for the company's web traffic reporting.

How Accurate it Alexa Ranking ?

• Alexa ranks sites based on tracking information of users of its Alexa Toolbar for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. Hence the page is only ranked between users who have these toolbar installed.

What is the Importance of Alexa Rank ?

• Alexa Rank has not got much importance in previous time but now days most of Advertisers and Advertising companies check for Alexa ranking.

So, How my Alexa Rank Decreased 1 Million in one day ? Is this normal ??
No this is not normal according to me and actually I don't know why this happened but what I think is my recent article 'Case Study of PageRank Update - June 2011' is getting more visitors than I expected and that might have made any effect.
